Santa Monica is the perfect place to spend an afternoon with kids. The flat, sandy beach provides an ideal promenade for people watching and the crashing waves are great for body-surfing. We spent the evening eating corn dogs for dinner and cotton candy for dessert. The sun went down, but the bright lights of the Santa Monica Pier illuminated the carnival and a great time was had by all.
