Two terrific day trips to Hermosa Beach yielded some great treats. We spent our first trip shopping for Baja gear - spear fishing, snorkelling, and surfing stuff. The next trip was sweetened by cupcakes from the Frosted Cupcakery and walks along the pier. The waves were too big for swimming, but the girls dipped their toes in the crashing waves of the Pacific. This area is definitely a "must see" for newcomers to Los Angeles, as the hip surfer community stands in such marked contrast to the urban jungle that surrounds it.
