Playa Chileno, Cabo, Mexico

Mark wanted to grab a coconut and check out Costa Azul, so we headed towards San Jose del Cabo for a quick photo of the breaking surf from the lookout along the highway. Mark has been getting his Cocos Frios here for over twenty years from the same vendor and he was happy to see that his girls loved coconut water and the white coconut "meat" just as much as their dad!

During our stay in Cabo San Lucas, we decided to visit another popular beach in the area. Playa Chileno is a well-known landmark with turquoise waters and gentle waves. The girls loved climbing all over the rocks and bobbing about in the waves with their lifejackets. Mark went snorkelling and he was shocked by how few big fish were left in the area. It is a protected marine park, but the only fish that were bountiful were small colourful species who had lost all fear of humans. Tour boats stop here and the guides feed the fish crackers or bread, so they will swarm around the tourists with their lifejackets, Go Pro cameras, and oil-slicks of sunscreen.
