Miracle Beach, Campbell River, BC
Miracle Beach......need I say more? This beautiful stretch of flat, sandy beach adjoins a lovely provincial park of the same name about 20km south of Campbell River, BC. The girls spent their time exploring the tide pools at low tide and found purple sea stars, hundreds of black sand dollars, sunflower starfish, a variety of crabs, and an enormous, unidentified sea snail.
We camped amid towering trees and nibbled salmon berries from the bushes surrounding our campsite. We hiked through the forest with an eye out for the black bear seen all over the park during our stay.
The girls made fast friends with some girls from a nearby campsite and were saddened to leave a few days later.
