Elk Falls Provincial Park, Campbell River, BC

We moved only 30km from Miracle Beach, but we arrived in a different world at Elk Falls Provincial Park outside of Campbell River, BC. We camped beside a beautiful babbling stream which meant our dreams were filled with fish! Butterflies, robins and salmon fry were in abundance here. Mark caught a few salmon fry on his fly rod and put them on display in these makeshift aquariums for the girls to admire. Homeschooling at its best!

Sunshine and a few quiet hours to simply sit back and relax by the river's edge made this campsite one of the best. We would have stayed longer, but the BC reservation system is a complicated one and we ended up leaving since someone else had booked the place we were camped.

We stocked up on supplies in Campbell River and we were planning to catch the ferry from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert, but a change of plans will now take us North through the interior of British Columbia instead.
