Sequoia National Park, CA

Sequoia National Park is a magical place. There's simply no denying it. Photos do not capture the breadth and height of these living sentinels. The majesty of these magnificent trees is best pondered while hiking away from the popular iconic wonders like General Sherman. Finding yourself a little deeper in the forest, with few hikers and no tour buses means that you can get up close to these aging giants and feel dwarfed by their grandeur and rugged beauty. We spotted deer and marmot along the way, listened to the melodies of songbirds, and gaped in wonder at the trees.
