Halloween, Los Angeles, CA

Just like all of you at home, we have been busy carving jack-o-lanterns and dressing up for the big night of trick or treating. The girls and Mark got busy carving their pumpkins on Thursday. Our daughters had their costumes for Halloween all set with wigs and face paint and all the trimmings. On Friday morning, they informed us that they no longer liked their choices and decided to dress up in our friends extra clothes instead. Nicole was going to be Aurora, but decided at the last minute to be a hard rocker with green hair. Heidi was all set to be a vampire bride, but switched on October 31 to become a student at Hogwarts from the Harry Potter book series we are reading. (She looks like a blonde witch to me, but she insists she is a student at Hogwarts School of Witches and Wizardry.) They lit their pumpkins and toured the neighbourhood in their new outfits. I think the best part for both of them was that they didn't have to wear a coat or long underwear beneath their costumes! We had a wonderful Halloween and we hope you are all enjoying some sweet treats from your night of trick or treating.
